Heading into Fall

Ceci is growing and changing so fast, it amazes me. Her ability to sit and color for a long period of time is amazing. For a kid who is usually bouncing off the walls, you put markers and a coloring book in front of her and it's like she's concentrating on a masterpiece. I'm astounded at how well she stays within the lines. She does better than most kids twice her age. Maybe I have a Rembrant on my hands?

One of her best friends is still Shawny-boy. "Is Shawny her today?" Ceci asked as we pulled up to daycare this morning. "I don't know, we'll have to go inside and see." As we entered her class and she spotted her target.... "SHAWNY!!" I haven't seen her that excited at school in a long time. After reminding me that Shawny had been sick she ran over and stood next to him, cow under one arm, gazing at her Shawny anomorously. She's so stinkin' cute.

Potty training has been in a holding pattern pretty much since we started in June. No problem peeing on the potty...... Hopefully we can master this by the time she's three.

Ceci and I went camping the last weekend in September for the first time ever! It went great. Ceci slept like a log, despite the wind storm we were having and we had a great time at the playground building sand castles and sliding down the slide. We had so much fun that we decided to do it again the following weekend with some friends.

The weather was a bit colder our second time out. That weekend was enough to satisfy my need to camp until the spring time.
